Below you will see where the “like” button is. The more “likes” an author has, the more often Amazon.com will recommend the author to customers.
Write Book Reviews
-Write a quick and honest book review and post it online. You don’t have to give a professional analysis of the book, just write what you thought about the story. You can post the book review on your blog, if you have one. Amazon.com is the most helpful online place to post a book review because so many people use Amazon just to learn about books. Some other helpful places to post a review would be:
www.BarnesandNoble.com www.ChristianBook.com www.GoodReads.com
www.LibraryThing.com www.Facebook.com www.Shelfari.com
Start a Discussion
-Start a discussion about the book on your blog, Facebook page, or on e-mail loops that you are a part of. And if you blog and would like to feature the book, interview me, and/or host a contest, please email me about it. I might even be able to donate a copy of the book for your contest winner.
-Word of mouth is still the number one way books hit bestseller lists. So simply tell people what you liked about this story and why they should read it.
-Loan your book to friends and family, and give copies as gifts.
-Recommend the book to a book club. There are discussion questions in the back.
-If you write a newsletter, consider featuring the book or interviewing me.
-Request that your local library (or school library) order the book. Most libraries honor patron’s requests. Print out some of the press materials from the Free Downloads page on my website and show them to your librarian.
-Ask your English teacher or librarian if they might have me visit as a guest author. I do assemblies, chapels, or writing workshops for all ages.
-Suggest that your local bookstore order copies of the book. Tell them why you liked it and show them the press materials if necessary.
-Distribute my bookmarks and buttons. Most bookstores, libraries, and gift shops are happy to have freebies on their counters. You can also
post a bookmark on a public bulletin board. If you would like some bookmarks and buttons, email me and I will send you some.
-Got a question or idea? Email me at email@example.com or through my contact page.
