Leftover Candy Canes Make Peppermint Cocoa

Every year after Christmas I always have a huge pile of candy canes. And no one in my house is a big fan of eating plain peppermint candy. So they always sit there until I throw them out.

Never again!

I put one into my hot chocolate the other day, and… mmm. It slowly melts and tastes delicious! Give it a try.

   I agree! I love candy canes in hot chocolate. Another great idea is to crush the candy canes in a plastic baggie with a rolling pin and mix with vanilla ice cream. So good! It’s in the 70s in Texas today so I lean toward the ice cream over hot chocolate.
